The Failed Proof
Find the Skybound Crucible, commit four Pinnacle Fragments, and survive Helegion's collapse.
### Where to reveal the failed proof
- Owning any one Quarryheart, Wildheart, Oathfire, or Stormheart Fragment reveals The Making of a God in the Boss Keys Stash. The card remains revealed after that fragment is spent or moved. - The card names all four required fragments and shows which ones you own. The Skybound Crucible destination in the Northern Wilds is revealed only when all four are owned together. - The fragments are evidence of the four Pinnacle bosses' divine infusions. This encounter is separate from ordinary Divine Writs.
### Open the Skybound Crucible
- Select the encounter card, review the exact cost, then choose `Open the Door`. `Not Yet` closes the confirmation without spending anything. - Entry consumes exactly one of each fragment as a single transaction, taking carried fragments before stored fragments. If the full set is not available, nothing is consumed. - A new challenge has eight attempts. Entering uses the first one, leaving seven reentries. Reentries consume no more fragments. Leaving, defeat, interruption, or reloading still uses that entry attempt. - The Writ Queue pauses before entry and never resumes itself. Opening the door plays a short, skippable activation scene; reentries use a shorter return beat.
### Survive Helegion's transformations
- Helegion begins as an organized elven caster using Fire, Cold, and Wind. At 50% Life, Fire disappears and his attacks mix blunt Physical force with Cold and Wind. At 20%, Wind also disappears; only chaotic Physical blows and Cold remain. - His ordinary attacks become faster and less regular as his body collapses, but every special attack keeps a visible one-second telegraph. A special already telegraphed keeps its original phase payload even if a threshold is crossed before it lands. - Soulfrost always inflicts Frostbite. Build Cold Resistance, Physical mitigation, ailment recovery, and enough sustained damage for 40 million Life.
### Rewards and aftermath
- Victory grants exactly six item-level-105 equipment rolls. A non-Unique result has a 70% chance to be Rhistel-Touched; the remaining seven release gods share the other 30%, and Aetherion is excluded. - Unique rolls use Helegion's pool: Axiom of the Self-Exalted (20%), The Last Vessel (40%), or Amalgam Grasp (40%). The owner's first victory also grants one extra guaranteed random Unique from this pool. - Helegion's soul is destroyed. The bound shard is sealed in the Crucible and cannot be looted or interacted with. The encounter never awards another fragment and does not grant Ascension.
