Gear and Loot
Find gear, understand rarity, Magic Find, God-Touched, and Unique items, equip upgrades, and manage the rest.
### God-Touched equipment
- Each non-Unique generated equipment reward from Xlotl, Orontur, Vharos, or Talrith is item level 105 and carries the permanent touch of one of the eight Haldir. Authored Uniques never receive this generated property, and Aetherion is not an outcome from these bosses. - God-Touched is separate from rarity. The Haldir association appears beneath the item name, divine modifier lines use a distinct treatment, and the item keeps its Normal, Magic, or Rare border plus a restrained Haldir accent. - Every affix slot created or rerolled on the item has a 20% chance to use a compatible unused modifier from the associated Haldir's pool. It consumes that ordinary prefix or suffix slot. Current crafting preserves the association, including Obliteration after it removes every affix. - Use the public Bahast wiki for the exhaustive Haldir affix identities, tier ranges, and equipment compatibility tables. The in-game Guide explains the mechanic, while the wiki reference is generated from the live game data. - Auto Sell protects God-Touched equipment by default. Enable Sell God-Touched Items only when you deliberately want the ordinary rarity, level, and requirement rules to evaluate it. - Vestige of the Eight belongs to Salvaging. Destroying God-Touched generated equipment can recover one, and applying it grants an eligible found Normal base a random association with one of the eight Haldir.
### Where to find gear
- Monster drops enter carry inventory. Open the right-side Loadout with Inventory or I. - Tide Market sells weapons, armor, and jewelry for gold. - Ocam Ports gambles a chosen item category when you need a targeted fallback but can accept a random result. - Kurdam Shipyard sells selected crafting resources that can improve a promising base.
### Inspect and compare
- Hover an item to read its stats, requirements, rarity, and modifiers. If the current Character cannot equip generated gear, each missing requirement is red and its carry, Stash, or crafting-target cell has a soft red inset with a `!` marker. - Hold Alt while hovering to reveal Item Level and detailed affix information. - Hold Ctrl while hovering carried gear to compare it with the relevant equipped item. Hold Ctrl + Alt for both views. - Use Inventory search to dim items that do not match a name, slot, rarity, requirement, tag, or modifier. - Inventory's bottom actions also sort carried items and configure Auto Sell. Auto Sell rules persist for that Character, so review them before enabling automatic cleanup. - In Auto Sell Rules, use `Keep From Auto-Sell` to ward whole equipment categories. Warded gear shows a brass lock and leaves the sale preview immediately. While the rules are open, right-click a generated item to always keep its category; remove wards from the category layout. - Unique equipment is an authored named item with a source and tier. Ordinary drops use the general Unique pool; restricted pinnacle bosses use only their own pool. Unique items are protected from Auto Sell but may still be sold manually.
### Equip, sell, or keep
- Right-click carried gear outside a vendor to equip it into the recommended slot, or drag it to the exact equipment slot you want. - Replaced equipment returns to carry inventory when there is room. A two-handed weapon also clears the offhand, so enough carry space is required. - While a Bahast vendor is open, right-clicking a carried item sells it instead of equipping it. The vendor's Buy Back tab lasts only until that vendor window closes. - Right-click Tide Market stock or a Buy Back item to purchase it. In Ocam Ports, left-click selects a wager category and right-click places the wager. Shopping and gambling never spend gold on left-click. - Purchased and gambled items require free carry space and enter Inventory first. - Keep useful Normal bases for Sigil crafting or Vestige application. Unwanted generated gear can be sold for gold or irreversibly salvaged in Bahast for independent chances at crafting currencies.
### Authored Unique items
- The general Unique pool contains 20 fixed identities on specific existing bases. Eligible identities unlock at item levels 1, 20, 40, and 60; a Unique never changes into a different base or identity. - When a reward becomes a general Unique, the game chooses its tier with weights of 80 for Tier 3, 18 for Tier 2, and 2 for Tier 1. It then chooses equally among the available items in that tier. These weights do not affect the chance for a reward to become Unique. - General Uniques can come from eligible gear drops and from a matching Ocam Ports category. Each compatible wager has an independent 0.1% chance to resolve from the general Unique pool. - Unique tooltips show the authored identity, tier, rolled values, mechanic, and flavor text. Hold Alt to see each rolled range. - Auto Sell never selects an authored Unique, even when another rule matches it. You may still sell one manually and use Buy Back while that vendor window remains open. - Authored Uniques never become God-Touched. They can be salvaged under the common Unique recovery rule, regardless of identity or tier. If an old save contains an unknown or retired identity, the item is preserved visibly but its authored powers stay disabled for recovery.
