Clearer builds, hunts, and inventory
Version 1.1.4 makes character power easier to understand, turns Hunt Contracts into a clearer route-driven activity, and removes guesswork from inventory cleanup.
Highlights
- Character stats now include plain-language explanations for attributes, resources, damage, defenses, and combat ratings. Combat Readiness DPS now includes valid attuned skills and separates basic-attack and skill contributions so loadout changes are easier to judge.
- Auto Sell now previews every matching carried item, explains why it matches, highlights it in the inventory, and shows the exact gold return before the sale. Transfer All also routes Reagents, Sigils, skill items, and gear into their correct stash storage where space is available.
- Hunt Contracts now show the marked route, completion condition, capture odds, reward, and failed capture clears in a dedicated card. Players can jump directly to the contract route, spend a Hunt Mark to reroll, and release unwanted captures only after an explicit permanent-action confirmation.
- First-time explanations now introduce After-Battle Summaries and Death Recap when those features first appear. The selected preference is saved and remains adjustable under Settings > Game > Gameplay.
Progression and itemization
- New Characters now begin with a Blazing Storm Ring alongside their Enchanting Sigil, giving the opening loadout an immediate item comparison and crafting target.
- Change Sigils can now drop from the start of the game. Cleansing Sigils begin dropping at Monster Level 35, are substantially rarer, and remove one randomly selected lowest-tier modifier instead of resetting the entire item.
- Tide Market weapon gambles now separate one-handed and two-handed weapon families, preventing broad family choices from returning the wrong handedness.
- The Skills screen can now be opened with
Kafter it is unlocked, and the shortcut reference explains the town-only Stash restriction.
Fixes and polish
- Status-effect details now explain Bleed damage, Shock amplification, and Frayed Accuracy and Dodge reduction with their actual values.
- Improved inventory, stash, character sheet, combat HUD, Hunt board, Pause menu, and world-map layouts across desktop and responsive views.
- Expanded the Player Guide and release-supported localization coverage for character stats, Hunts, controls, status effects, inventory actions, tutorials, and related feedback.
- Added focused unit and browser regression coverage for the new DPS calculation, Auto Sell preview, Hunt flow, capture release, tutorial preferences, localization, persistence, and Cleansing behavior.
Save compatibility
- Existing 1.1.x saves remain supported. No save reset is required.
- Existing Cleansing Sigil stacks keep their balances and use the new selective-removal behavior.
- Existing Characters do not receive the new starter ring retroactively; it is part of new-Character creation only.
- New tutorial and Hunt-guide preference fields receive safe defaults when older saves are loaded.
Release scope
These notes cover player-facing changes after the 1.1.3 release commit
(56e6312). Release 1.2.0 planning documents included in the
repository do not represent features shipped in 1.1.4.

Buildcraft and hunt polish
Version 1.1.2 makes build choices easier to understand, broadens Hunt targets, and tightens the Windows release experience.
Highlights
- Area skills now damage additional living monsters in the current pack. Skill and Combat Readiness details separate Area Damage, Area of Effect, single-target DPS, and projected full-pack DPS.
- The passive tree has clearer first-visit guidance, allocation confirmation, refund selection, path presentation, and search feedback. Passive pathing now honors bidirectional authored connections, block and spell-block bonuses use the correct percentage scale, and refund pricing is cheaper through level 60 before increasing for late-game rebuilds.
- Hunt Contracts can now select from eligible unlocked subareas across the campaign instead of remaining limited to the Shimmering Expanse.
- Saves now remember the last world location. Offline combat catch-up runs only when the Character was saved during an expedition, preventing town and management sessions from advancing combat unexpectedly.
Fixes and polish
- Unfinished Tidewash inventory and skill lessons now preserve their progress after the shore clear and can resume in Bahast. The new passive-tree lesson can be completed with the guided controls or dismissed without forcing an allocation.
- Skill, support, Writ, loot, combat-log, toast, and service text received broader localization coverage across the release-supported languages.
- Skill and support tooltips now expose Area Damage and Area of Effect more clearly, while advanced Alt details appear only where that extra information is useful.
- Hunt rewards, item sale values, direct monster gold, and gambling were tightened around level relevance. Gambled items now roll from two levels below to five levels above the Character, capped at item level 75.
- Corrected boots and leggings icon-category assignments and added integrity coverage to prevent those asset groups from being swapped again.
- Added a title-screen close control and hardened packaged Windows startup identity registration.

These notes intentionally cover only changes made after the 1.1.1 Steam
